Global Classrooms in the      of Maine

We live in a rapidly changing, global society that is increasingly interconnected and dependent on technology.  It is an exciting challenge to prepare youth for success in a future so uncertain, and so full of new possibilities!  With the right tools and support, educators can craft a wide variety of learning opportunities for their classrooms, customized to their specific content and students.  Global Classrooms will look different teacher to teacher, and course to course.  What they have in common is they are preparing students for success not only as local citizens, but as global citizens.

"We recognize the need for adaptability in the face of continuing social and technological changes, and are committed to the development of compassionate, critical and creative thinkers.   We honor the individual and promote personal leadership by fostering intellectual, cultural, civic, social and personal growth." - from MSAD#15 Vision Statement

This website was created as part of a  2015/16 Teachers for Global Classrooms Fellowship.  It is designed to be a resource and an opportunity for ongoing collaboration as we practice our craft at GNGHS.
